Patient representative
Duties and
responsibilities:
The patient representatives work for the
healthcare administrators to address the concerns and the special needs of
patients and also their families. They evaluate patient’s satisfaction, investigate
complaints, they collect information about the patients dissatisfaction, they
also work with departments to resolve the patients problems, and they even
educate staff.
Patient representatives work in the
hospital, nursing homes, some other long-term care facilities, and in public health
agencies.
Average salary:
$20,000 - $40,000
Educational requirements:
The students should take more challenging
courses in high school for business, science, math, and English.
The requirements are different but
most employers prefer college graduates with background of health or social
services. The experience or course work in conflict resolution is also valued.
