This quote is saying that
you should be careful who you hang out with or talk to because some people
might choose drugs and drinking instead of going to school and getting an
education. For example who will you prefer hanging out with people that do drug
and drink and steal from people or would you hang out with people that know what’s
best and go to school to get a high school diploma and try to get a good job in
the future. So which group will you choose the good one or the bad ones?
